Leadership & Team Building for Adults

Leadership & Team Building for Adults

Whether you are looking for something to complement your business retreat or a way to improve your employee's processes, ExCEL can create a program to build toward your goal. We help managers learn to be leaders, employees to become teammates, and individuals to find their true potential.

The ExCEL program uses the outdoors to present everyday challenges in new ways to help people learn how to better overcome them. Teamwork, communication, trust, problem solving and other common words take on real meaning in unique and memorable team challenges

What programs do we offer?

Typically programs are either a half-day, a full-day, or multi-day. Programs can be onsite at the 4-H Center or offsite at your school, church, business, etc. Programs are very flexible and can be accommodated to most sized groups.

With half-day programs, groups spend a morning or an afternoon working together through initiatives (group challenges). These range from mental puzzles to overcoming our 12 foot team wall.

Initiatives are fun challenges that increase self-awareness, problem solving, communication, trust, and team morale. All initiatives are customized to the group's wants and needs. Times may also be adjusted to fit the schedule of the group.

In a full-day program, groups spend the morning collaborating to overcome some of our initiatives (group challenges). We typically use ground based initiatives in the morning that focus on communication, critical thinking, and trust within the group.

In the afternoon most groups choose to experience our challenge course. The challenge course is located 20 feet in the trees and consists of 20+ obstacles varying in difficulty. While the challenge course has lots of individual obstacles, there are several obstacles that require a partner. The challenge course is intended to reinforce key concepts learned from initiatives.

Corporate Challenge (3.5 Hour program)

Your company’s team (composed of 8-10 individuals) will have the opportunity to compete in a series of fun team building challenges, all structured around a points system. These challenges are designed to be physically engaging without being overly strenuous. Each team will rotate through 8-10 activities, each lasting approximately 15 minutes. One of our team facilitators will be present to guide the group, addressing any questions or concerns.

The activities throughout the course may include canoeing, archery, water balloon launching, as well as creative initiatives such as Marble Pass, Trolleys, Bull Ring, and Photo booth. Effective communication, problem-solving, and having fun are all key components contributing to a team's success! This program can be replicated off-site as well.

See what ExCEL Participants Have to Say

"The team building exercises promoted unity and communication within our entire group. The experience was more than I could have imagined. Your staff is to be commended for the work you do for the leaders in Arkansas and beyond."
 - Janet Wray, Leadership Magnolia

"The (team building) activities bring out so many leadership qualities and traits. You can easily see your strengths and strengths of others that you can try to learn from. Facilitators did a good job of bringing the activity back to what we can learn or take away from it."
- Leadership Greater Little Rock participant
