Arkansas 4-H Eligibility

Our Arkansas 4-H age is your age "as of January 1 of the current year." Therefore, for 2026, we ask you how old you were on January 1, 2026 and that is your 4-H age throughout the rest of the 2026 program year.

2026 4-H Club Year Age and Eligibility Chart

4-H Eligibility–Cloverbud

Cloverbuds are youth ages 5-7 as of January 1 of the current year. However, you can enroll as a Cloverbud on your 5th birthday, regardless of when it falls during the year.

Juniors are youth ages 8-10 as of January 1 of the current year.

4-H Eligibility- Intermediate

Intermediates are youth ages 11-13 as of January 1 of the current year.

4-H Eligibility–Senior

Seniors are youth ages 14-19 as of January 1 of the current year. Senior members may participate in 4-H activities until December 31 of the year they celebrate their 19th birthday.

**A 4-H'er is eligible until December 31st of their 19th year.
