Western National Roundup
Western National Roundup provides a place for youth to compete nationally while encouraging teamwork and self-confidence, and while focusing on the 4-H Mission Mandates: Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Healthy Living and Citizenship.
Arkansas 4-H travels to Denver each January to compete and attend the Western National Roundup contest. 4-H members earn the right to attend through state competitive events held at Arkansas 4-H O-Rama.
Arkansas 4-H Western National Roundup delegates have the opportunity to :
- Establish new friendships with fellow 4-H members and leaders.
- Participate in social and educational programs by being a participant, not a spectator.
- Experience and develop greater personal growth.
- Continue to develop leadership and citizenship skills.
- Reach for new career ideas and cultural development in areas of business, agriculture, science, industry, education and the arts.
- Share personal experiences with others through things that have been meaningful to your growth and development.
