Mission of AR 4-H Camps

At Arkansas 4-H Camps, we empower youth to lead with integrity, think creatively, and grow in confidence. Through experiential learning and outdoor adventure, we cultivate tomorrow’s leaders by inspiring curiosity, encouraging self-expression, and building lifelong skills in a safe and supportive environment.

In-Person Camps

The Arkansas 4-H State Camping Program offers camping and training opportunities for youth 5-19 years old and adults. We offer both day camp and overnight camping, at the C. A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center, 10 miles west of Little Rock. We have canoeing, swimming, archery, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes challenge course, off-site adventure camping, and more!

We offer camps with a wide range of learning opportunities; from wilderness adventure to crafts, our 4-H camping program has it all!

Parents/Volunteers are welcome to attend most of our camps (unless noted as youth only). Parents/Volunteers wanting to attend camp will need to complete the volunteer leader screening process. This usually takes several weeks to be processed so please start the process early. Contact your county agent on how to begin.

Registration for camps typically open approximately 1 month before the registration deadline.

Scholarships are available for members to apply for. The application is currently available through your Zsuite account. The deadline to apply is March 2 @ noon.

All camps are open to 4-H Members. Members, be sure you have re-enrolled through the online system. Members will register through the enrollment system.

Some camps are also open to NON Members. Non Members will register through the links listed with each camp.

Young Makers Market:

The Young Makers Market is a craft fair for YOUTH VENDORS only. There are a lot of talented youth across the state. We wanted to give them an opportunity to show off their talents without the pressure of competing with adult vendors. In 4-H we strive to provide opportunities for youth to grow and develop a wide range of skills. This Market will allow youth to create/grow a product and earn an income from that creation. Youth should learn the ins and outs of customer service, marketing, sales, etc. while promoting their products. This Market is open to youth crafters/makers and food trucks.

Single Session Virtual Camps:

Our single sessions are transitioning to a roughly quarterly schedule. Check back for dates/supplies lists. These sessions are open to anyone who would like to join. I am also working on posting follow up videos to each of the sessions. You can find information about past sessions on our Virtual Programming page.

Extended Virtual Camp Sessions:

These sessions require preregistration through the Event Registration and Enrollment System and are multi day/project sessions.

This camp is a 3 day camp. The focus of this years camp is TBD. Campers are given the opportunity to submit requests during registration. Most dishes are based on camper request. Campers will be able to complete multiple dishes over the course of the camp. Past dishes have included sushi, pasta, pizza, soup, cookies, cakes, etc. We focus on making as much of the dish from scratch as we can.
