Statewide 4-H Events
Through the Arkansas 4-H Veterinary Science Program, 4-H members have opportunities to visit veterinary schools, attend Veterinary Science Camp, and compete in veterinary science related events.
Field Trips to Veterinary Schools
Arkansas 4-H hosts a field trip in April each year for students to visit a veterinary
school in a neighboring state. Youth learn explore the campus and about the admissions
process. 4-H members are encouraged to attend this event independent of their parents
so they can build relationships with other like-minded youth and experience a glimpse
of college life. Students aged 11 to 19 years old are eligible to attend.
In years past, 4-H members have visited:
Oklahoma State
University of Missouri
Louisiana State University
Mississippi State University
Texas A&M
